Basketball Recruiting should start picking up soon. By my count, coach Murphy could have 4-5 scollies to give for the class of 2012 and the same holds true for the class of 2013.

2 known verbal commits: ROSS, PG CLASS OF 2012 AND MARTIN, WING - CLASS OF 2013 who incidently has been out with a hip injury - don't know for how long.

Have heard some vibes that they have looked at some kids from the Virginia/West Virginia prep scool area - any one hear anything as far as specifics?

Personally feel they need a PG and sghooting guard along with some big athletic fellow up front even thought our two transfers Bryant anf Harrison can contribut here, Still is stil a possibility I assume even thougfh he has not been announced.?????.

PG CANDIDATES MENTIONED BEFORE, JACOBBY BLEDSOE AND CAMERON GOLDEN AS WELL AS RAY LEE HAVE NOT COMMITTED ANYWHERE TO DATE - COULD THEY STILL BE CANDIDATES FOR EMU?
If you're look at West Virginia look at Huntington the prep school Ray Lee was at before coming back to Michigan. Check their roster.

Neysmith is at Woodstock Virginia and Spencer Parker is at Fishborne Virginia but I believe he's a Bowling Green commit.

Yes, Parker has committed to BG. Lamonte Stone who recruited him is very high on him.

CAN'T SEEM TO FIND MUCH INFO ON NEYSMITH. WILL TRY TO LOOK UP HUNTINGTON PREP FOR INFO.
The more I read these basketball recruiting threads the more I like football recruiting.

Come on Stevve, we know you like FB recruiting but only a few years back during the Boone era you had all kinds of B Ball recruiting contacts including PSL coaches and friends of friends who were really in the know. FB recruiting will be pretty dead the next few months and B Ball recruiting will be the in thing. Lets let Murphy do his job with the season winding down. His reputation is that he is a great recruiter, time will tell. LOI day is April 11th I believe.

GET INVOLVED, YOU'LL HAVE FUN!

Bring back Boone? 03-lmfao

The other point is that history is unique.

Because something was true 10 years ago doesn't mean it holds today. 03-idea

MAKE IT HAPPEN STEVE, YOU'LL HAVE FUN!
Following Ramsey's recruiting was also frustrating. Its difficult to follow Murphy as well. We a verbal from Ross, Still. I can see us adding maybe another player or two to the mix. Murphy will hold back as many scholies as he can for 2013.
Here's the Huntington roster, Hawkins is a Michigan connection:

HAWKINS FROM FLINT HAS ALREADY SIGNED THIS PAST FALL WITH SOUTH FLORIDA. a FEW OF THE OTHERS ON THE ROSTER HAVE ALSO SIGNED DURING THE EARLY PERIOD. A NUMBER OF THESE KIDS ON THE ROSTER ARE ORIGINALLY CANADIANS.

HARD TO SAY WHO MURPHY IS LOOKING AT. HAVE TO KEP ON DIGGING, SOONER OR LATER SOMEONE WILL POP UP WITH AN EMU CONNECTION.
IS KPJ IN THE HOUSE?

IF SO, WHAT IS THE LATEST YOU'VE HEARD ON OUR PG COMMIT JALEN ROSS?? YOUR COMMENTS WOULD BE APPRECIATED, PAST AND PRESENT.

HOPE HE'S THE REAL DEAL AND I WONDER IF THE STAFF IS RECRUITING OTHER PG'S FOR COMPETITION SAKE. WE DEFINATELY WILL NEED A LEADER NEXT SEASON AND I PERSONALLY DON'T SEE ONE ON THE CURRENT ROSTER.
JALEN ROSS FROM GREENSBORO DAY SCHOOL IN GREENSBORO, NC

ANYONE HAVE ANY STATS ON OUR VERBALLY COMMITTED RECRUIT?

JAMES STILL FROM HENRY FORD CC - HIS STATS HAVE GONE DOWN SCORING WISE - NOW AVERAGING AROUND 16 PPG, 12 BOARDS AND 5 BLOCKS PER GAME AFTER 21 GAMES

MUM SEEMS TO BE THE WORD ON BASKETBALL PROSPECTS - GOD KNOWS WE NEED SOME HELP! YES I KNOW ABOUT THE TRANSFERS BUT WE NEED MORE HELP!

RILEY HASEN'T LIVED UP TO MY EXPECTATIONS - HOPE HE GETS BETTER
Hope EMU had representation at the city-league championship game betwee King and Pershing. Lots of talent on the floor. King behind Malik Albert beat Pershing to win it all.

Pershing talent: Walker, Felder, Walker

King talent: Albert, Armstrong, Norfleet, Abbott

All will eventually play college ball. Norfleet has signed to play FB at Michigan, Dorsey Walker to play hoops at Iowa State, the rest???
