Anybody else watching this?
Memphis is just absolutely destroying Marquette. 6:00 minutes into the game, and Marquette hasn't even attempted a field goal. Ouch!
I hope that Memphis doesn't play like this when we play them. On the other hand, I hope that Marquette does!

down 24 - 11 thru the first 11 minutes and they have 13 turnovers. MU had 3 shots in the first 6 minutes.
Wow, Memphis is playing heck of a game. Calipari is actually coaching tonight
. The team looks focused. Adversity seems to have motivated them. Way to go Memphis.
Diener and Novak havent played well at all. Marquette may not be as good as their 13-1 record projects.
Do you think Marquette was lucky to reach the Final Four because of they had a player like Dwayne Wade? Heck, even the Miami Heat had no clue what they were getting in Wade. Wade is the kind of player who comes along only once in a while. Tom Crean doesn't look all that impressive after Wade's departure. Last year they were very mediocre and even this years they may not be as good as advertized.
When we look at the teams around the league, we should be thankful that we have a coach like Huggs, whose team is competitive every year. As Huggs says achieving success is easy, but maintaining it is the tough part.

Honestly, I am hoping Marquette does good up until they play us. I want them to be ranked so we can get another quality win when we beat them.
I hate both of these teams with a passion.........but I can always count on Memphis to suck when it counts cause of Calipari's coaching. I think Tom Crean is twice the coach that Cal is..............but Cal has much better athletes and talent. I can't stand Diener, Novak, and Mason...........so I'm glad to see them lose.
The interesting stat of the game was Sean Banks..........23 minutes played, 2 points, 2 rebounds. I wonder if he's laying down as some sort of revenge? He has been terrible of late.
This gives me hope for UC vs. Marquette because Memphis is athletic like us.

It doesn't matter if Memphis sucks for the rest of the season, I can guarantee that Cal will have the Tigers ready when our Cats go down there. Memphis always plays UC tough.
I believe that Cal's all-time record against UC is 1-13 now. They will play us tough and they are fortunate to have us on their home floor.
UC doesn't play Marquette during the regular season this year... :bang:
