He is going to cost us a T at some point, should have already happened several times this year. He always keeps playing after the inbounds for a few seconds, tonight he didn't even start the stupid music once until Adam was already half court. Why have a band ( one you have to pay people to play in) and then not let them play?
Just my opinion....I think they have done MUCH better with music this year. I do agree they need to cut it off when the ball is about to be inbounded though.
I am not really fond of the music but my problem is with the fact they don't turn it off properly. It is against the rules and you get a ref in a bad mood he is going to T us up (and should).
Agree 100%
and my popcorn only had butter on the top, so when i got to the bottom of the box...i was left with UN-BUTTERED POPCORN. this etsu administration has got to go...IM TIRED OF THIS CRAP!

what the hell are you talking about? Oh wait, you don't even try and make sense.

Slappy, is it not legit to complain about something outside the game that could cost us points? I think the entire experience of the game including cheerleaders, music, promotions (and those running them), etc. is fair game. But especially when it could get us a technical foul and affect the game. And its a very simple fix to stop the music before the ball is put inbounds. It is ETSU's job to correct this before it costs us.
It has been happening all year but I hadn't posted until last night because like I said at one point the ball had already been thrown in and advanced to half court before the music came on. That was like the last straw. However I did notice for the rest of night the music was cut short before the inbounds play, I wonder if we got a warning or if someone from ETSU spoke up.

i was more poking at rod because he was in that mode of just wanting to complain. the music has been fine. its not an exact science and yes it has run over a bit. there will be a warning before a T is called. at the time of said warning, the music will then cease for the evening.

in order to improve the game experience, which is talked about alot, you have to do these things. if rod feels he can do a better job of DJ, then he should contact the administration and volunteer his services to replace said "idiot"...

sorry if you were offended. my apologies to rod as well.
Not even going to start on this other than saying it's part of improving the gameday experience.
Losers try, winners get the homecoming queen. I will say constructively that the in game production people should take a few trips to other campuses of mid major teams that draw well to see what they do and improve upon their own. It's a legitimate concern and something that the adults should talk about.
Slappy, Chris, Rowdy Piper or whatever, go get your skittles and color a picture of the soccer stadium, rugby field or whatever it is you do. Let the adults discuss this.
A DJ is provided these days to try and cover up an uninvolved and abysmal fan base. The place was way more exciting when it was a pep band and several thousand screaming fans who would often throw toilet paper and confetti. Of course that was before the a sun.
It was also better before the administration mysteriously removed bartender from his long standing season ticket seat.

God, The Bartender, what a shame. He just might be the greatest fan in ETSU history and the ETSU admin ran him off. You can see him in a lot of the home games that I post. For those of you who don't know who Gold and I are talking about if you watch this short video he is the dude with the mustache that is standing up yelling at the refs, my Dad had season tickets near this guy when I was kid. It was a pleasure listening to his passion every game.

A fixture at State Football & Basketball games beginning back in the 70’s. I you ever got the chance to talk with him, his passion was unbelievable.
There were a lot of us with great passion for etsu.

....and we need them all back, that includes you Gold.
Gold will be back as soon as ETSU realizes that telling 55-year-old jokes on Facebook that every sports fan worth his salt has heard is not a terroristic activity.

That's essentially true. I know I'm in a minority, but I *can't stand* the loud music at every single timeout! I'd love to have a few timeouts each game with just the crowd noise, or silence, or whatever. But since marketing has superseded sports in today's world, I know it will continue. BUT HOW ABOUT TURNING IT DOWN !!!!

And if whoever does the marketing stuff is reading this, the people who go out on the floor with the microphones need serious coaching on e-n-u-n-c-i-a-t-i-o-n. I've got very good hearing, and I'm lucky if I can make out 2/3 of what he or she says. Slowing down just a tiny bit would help, but enunciation would help more.

Thank you. Now back to your regularly scheduled complaints.....
At least the don't have the woman who screeched into the mic everytime she came out for a promotion anymore. I think she could shatter glass with that voice, she certainly did my eardrums.
Yeah, the guy this year isn't as bad as she was. It was a very good night if I could understand 1/3 of her ravings. And I notice she's still there, just off the mic. I've wondered if she's the one who messed up with the $20,000 contest fiasco....
