.228, 3HR, 8 RBI's. Very Brandon Inge-esque! Sweet!

Wilson was recruited primarily as an outfielder, Wilken said in a Bloomingdale release, but also could pitch.

Wilson hit .228 with three home runs, eight RBI and nine stolen bases last season while compiling a 3.32 ERA in 12.2 innings.

I'd like to think that Jay and crew didn't go all the way to Tampa to get a kid with these stats. I will comment though that baseball players are recruited more for how they perform against higher level talent in showcase tournaments (travel teams) then they are with their HS team.
I know a few local kids that have much better numbers than this though. EMU and the other D1 schools in the state do get critisized by MI HS coaches for recruiting out-of-state kids more than MI kids. The theory is that the southern boys get in a lot more action and typically are more game ready when they get here.

Speaking of baseball, the EMU staff is very confident going in to this season. They do feel that they are better than last year (and that was fairly good).
Whatever happened to Theron Wilson JR from Skyline? Grades?

His father should have had some influence in getting him a scholarship for FB. Perhaps he is hoping for a Basketball Scollie. He is Skylines leading scorer for hoops bu his stats appear to be down from last season. Jump Shot aand Range?

We offerred him in Fb quite some time ago and were the only known DIV I school to offer for FB.
Any info on Wilson?
