Just curious. I was looking at stats again and was wondering if there was ever two players who put up more cumulative rushing yards in a season than Harnish and Hopkins this year. I show a cumulative 2,335 net yards; 1,379 for Harnish and Hopkins 956.

Also, have there ever been two 1,000 yard rushers in one season on our team?
In 2004 Garrett Wolfe netted 1,656 and AJ Harris 822 for a total of 2,478. There were a couple of other times in the oughts when two backs combined for over 2,000 but '04 had the highest total. Would be interesting to see what the #2 runner had when LeShon Johnson was a senior. Where's Mike Korcek when you need him?
Turner's first year I believe he rushed for over 900 yards, while Hammock rushed for over 1,000 yards.
Harnish and Hopkins combined to average 6.13 YPC while G-Dub and Harris averaged 5.76 FWIW.
Didn't Wolfe average like 6.5 YPC for his career or something absurd like that?

6.3 ypc. Pretty sure that's still the record in college football for a minimum number of carries (not sure what the minimum carries to be counted is).
Hopefully Lynch and Settle/Womble/Daniels/unknown RB will eclipsed that mark. Wouldn't that be something!

Adonis Thomas just averaged 6.3 ypc this season at Toledo, and he also averaged 6.3 ypc last season. Kind of ironic that he had the same average both years. Here's the links:

Back in 2007 DaJuane Collins averaged 6.4 ypc for Toledo. He was the backup though and had just 99 rush attempts, gaining 636 yards. Not sure if 99 attempts is enough to qualify. Might need at least 100 or 150 or something.

Just checked this again, actually it was 6.5 ypc, for his career. Sounds like Thomas is fairly close to that. I don't know how many career carries you need to be included in the career averages. Wolfe's ypc average was almost the same for his 3 years.

Ahh, good point. Guess I misread that. At 6.5 Wolfe would have been higher anyway. Adonis Thomas averaged 6.1 ypc for his career.

Guess you were right, 6.5 ypc for his career. Pretty phenomenal. Turner only averaged 5.3.
