SMU has gotten a lot of justified grief about their football attendance. I'm happy to report that we brought 6000+ to the Compass Bowl according to the Dallas Morning News. That's pretty good for us and a hopeful sign for us when we join the New BEast. It was due in part to playing a quality Big East team in Pittsburgh and also to renewed interest from alumni with recent winning football teams as we have now been to Bowls for three years straight. I am optimistic for year 2013.

Go win SMU! I want to see SMU rise above everyone except UH. We both need to get 50k into the stadium. Here's hoping!
nice i think that was about 5999 more than Pitt brought

If SMU gets 50K in Ford Stadium, the UP fire marshal might have something to say about that.
It was very impressive on tv, I wish I could have made the trip. Very proud of the SMU fans on this one.
If SMU is reasonably successful in the Big East, I see no reason why we can't match similar private schools in attendance at home and in the bowls.

Schools like Wake, Vandy, and Northwestern usually have decent fan support. SMU should be no different.
