I was in Nevada for a month so this is kind of old news, but significant, and I don't see a thread about it. In Miami's first conference game, Cortney scored 48 points, breaking the Miami record of 43 set by Amanda Jackson and breaking the MAC record of 44 set by Lindsay Shearer of Kent in a MAC tournament semifinal game ( I think, I definitely remember being at the game in Toledo).
In reading the recap of the game, it was an unusual game in that Miami made only 2 of their first 24 shots and trailed at halftime 29-17, then scored 78 points in the second half (including 21 in OT) and won 95-85 at Akron.
Miami, which finished dead last in the MAC last year (but had no Seniors) is 12-3 and 2-0 so far this season.
