Seems like its time for this to get started up!
Lets win this one. Go Huskies!!!
I hope they are ready, I watch clips of this team and they have very fast WRs and a running QB and a lot of trick plays

At least the QB only averaged 4 ypc. So did Tettleton. Also, he's been sacked 24 times. So hopefully he's not that elusive or the protection isn't that good.

I am down with that, Nebal Jefferson has pretty good QB rushing skills and as long as he is playing heads up Football he should do well (as long as their Oline isn't the best)
This game is ours to win if we do not turn the ball over....
Starting to feel very nervous and pacey. I will not be posting during the game...I'll be wearing out the carpet at my house. Or on my knees in front of the TV praying.

I want this win for Chandler and the seniors. I want this team to have another 11 - 3 season SO BAD!!!!!!!

GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!

The biggest obstacle that we have to overcome is the loss of Newcomb and Progar on the D line. We are very thin there this evening and it will impact NIU's ability to rotate D linemen and to keep them fresh. Hopefully our offense will dominate and we come up with enough defensive stops to win the game.
yeah newcomb has really been playing great the last couple times he could play
I am going to say don't worry if we get down early because I am betting thats how we start out. luckily were the heart attack huskies again

That's not really that many sacks allowed, it's about average. They played two of the best defensive lines in the country (Illinois and Virginia Tech) and held their own reasonably well (allowed 5 sacks combined in those 2 games).

Yea, but we played Wisconsin and only gave up 1 sack. And only 9 total. And they gave up 3 sacks to Middle Tennessee. But yes, it will now be hard to draw conclusions on that since we're missing 2 of our best D-linemen.
get your magic socks ready for this one!

Right, I was just implying that protection isn't really an issue for them. Comparing them to NIU isn't fair, that's an elite college offensive line you're talking about. Wisconsin's pass rush was mediocre this year, too, so I'm not surprised NIU held them to 1 sack.

That said, I was far more impressed by Arkansas State's defense than I was by their offense when they played in Champaign. I thought they had a good defensive line that eventually got worn down since their offense couldn't stay on the field.

Well, since the 2 teams are playing each other, I figured comparing them was appropriate.

Don't know what it is, but I'm feeling calm about this game. I think we're going to roll.

Also I know I have to stay calm because I have to be at work at 7:30 tomorrow morning and if I get worked up, I won't sleep. Like the Toledo game...
