Any final announcements made on the staff? Who is the TE coach? Who will be Def coord? Who will call Offensive plays?

I've been checking the UT Athletic site. It says...No staff listed for this season. Hopefully, they're waiting to fill the staff and then will update the site.

Have you guys heard any noise about Clinkscale taking a position at Illinois? It is a bit strange that he would be added to the staff this late (Golesh, Ward and Ayeni were offered weeks ago), but perhaps another coach backed out of a commitment?

Illinois: We hear that Toledo corners coach / special teams coordinator Steven Clinkscale will be joining Tim Beckman's staff at Illinois.

I don't think Campbell offered him a spot to stay at Toledo. By the way, Toledo's pass defense and special teams were the two weakest spots on the team............just saying.

So did Campbell explicitly hire any of the defensive assistants? Have there been any hints dropped about guys looking for new jobs? Given that Beckman wasn't interested in hiring Clinkscale before I wonder how much truth there is to this rumor.

I think Beckman was looking elsewhere first and when that collapsed he turned to Clinkscale.

As for UT, I am pretty sure Eli Rasheed and Paul Nichols have been retained on defense.

How do you know Rasheed and Nichols have been retained and not Clinkscale? I haven't seen anything anywhere that would suggest Campbell was not retaining anyone or even going through the process of deciding who to keep and who to let go.
