Cal just likes to hear his name spoken without it constantly being surrounded by either obscenities or laughter.
So Kentucky needs a pf/c and there are probably about 4 left in the class(Jefferson,Bennett, Parker and Gathers)and you guys think Cal is recruiting Parker to spite Memphis, unbelievable.
Money talks

Oh, I believe it. I know Cal's ulimate goal is to watch Memphis crumble to the ground. LOL. I know it has absolutely nothing to do with winning.
Calipari has a habit of pissing of fanbases across the nation. Comes with the territory of being the best recruiter in the land.
In the other Parker thread I mentioned this a week ago..Katz said that Kentucky was in on Parker during one of Kentucky's games..In fact Katz didn't even mention Memphis as being on his list..He said UK, Ohio St., Florida, Georgia and one other one but did not mention us..A friend told me he heard Katz say this during there game..

there are many elements to coaching that are overlooked. Keeping egos in check is squarely the responsibility of the head coach. With such a collection of talent that Cal has on his teams, Cal does an incredible job coaching his guys to play as a team. Most importantly, from the recruit's perspective, is that Cal has a pipeline to the league. Cal is a very good coach. His teams are always strong, and they are looking great this year also.
Six hundred pounds of sin?

But a National Championship is never in that path.

The only thing hes offering Parker is a chance to get to the NBA after 1 year due to increased playing time/exposure, which is the truth. We cant guarantee that, nor can any other program on his list.
Cal can guarantee that and kids listen to it.

If Memphis meets Kentucky in the tourny, it'll be the ultimate revenge when we send you home. I want Poythress, Goodwin, & Parker to bare witness to karma getting served hot & fresh.
I miss Cal.

The main reason that Cal can keep egos in check is because he tries to make himself BIGGER than the program, that way, no player is going to challenge him. Joe, Chris and a few others that continue to make the same hardheaded plays game after game, probably wouldn't do it with Cal. Love him or hate him, he's earned it, and I believe that Coach P will get to the place that the players know without a doubt, who's in charge. Right now we just plain and simply don't have the right mix of player. A point guard that in the past is more interested in getting his, as opposed to making the TEAM shine, and up until the TN game, average at best post play. If we land Parker I would love it, but no one can blame him for choosing KY.

When is this "Cal helps kids get to the NBA" nonsense going to end? Most, if not all of the guys he has "helped" go to the NBA after 1 year were only going to college because the NBA said that have to wait 1 year after high school.

Not going to get into a p...... contest with you but what happens if you dont get the ultimate revenge and Kentucky wins the game and why would you blame Poythress, Goodwin or Parker for playing for Kentucky. You know its not like EVERY kid that doesnt go to Memphis is out to get them. LOL.
