Approximately one year ago posters on this board were beginning to install U-Verse. Would you comment on the quality of your service....bundled or unbundled? Thank you.

I am in Little Rock, but we have U-Verse and the U-200 TV package bundled with whole house WiFi internet (standard with U-Verse).

Love it. Love it. Love it.
tv bundled with internet. We're not impressed. Directv quality was much better. Remote/software freezes every now and then and we have to turn the box off and back on to be able to change channels and such. Just ran into an issue a few days ago (not their fault really, somewhere along our paths my neighbors DSL line was touching mine causing interferrance) where they had to come out. On the plus side their customer service was fantastic and it was fixed really quick. Biggest plus is recording 4 things at once if wanted/needed. I think the most we've ever done is 3. Internet is pretty nice though.
Got the whole AT&T U-verse package about 5 weeks ago including the internet, VOIP and U450 plus the HD Premium tier. Comcast cut my internet off because they did an "inventory" and found that my router was obsolete. So, instead of waiting less than a week to allow me to get the new router they shipped, they cut off the service the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving even though the old router was working fine. I had U-verse installed the following Monday.

The only problem I have had is that the technician had to come back and replace the new wireless gateway that also sends the signal to the the television receiver. The picture kept "pixelating" or freezing up and the receiver would occasionally reboot on its own. The new gateway is putting out a stronger signal.

Another issue that I was not aware of when I made the move is that the On Demand service does not include the entire season to date for shows like Comcast does. It only has the past two episodes. That was irritating because I had a few recordings that went back a few weeks that I had not gotten around to watching and thought that I could just use the On Demand service to go back and pick them up when I turned in the old Comcast DVR.

The U-verse DVR has MUCH larger capacity to record than the Comcast device.

All in all, I like the service. The VOIP has not been a problem and we have unlimited calling within the U.S. and to Canada, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and the Northern Marianas. The internet has been reliable. Besides the initial problem with the wireless gateway signal, the TV has been great. I even have a receiver in my garage so I can watch games and stuff when I am outside. The receiver can be moved anywhere within the range of the signal. That will come in handy when it gets warmer and spend more time outside.
I've had it for 7 or 8 months now. Love it.
