That sounds exactly like the Arkansas Arkansas State debate.
Does anyone really care what Jacksonville State fans say or think ?
03-melodramatic
This is how most of the FCS teams think, but in reality FBS teams win 96% of those matchups. When there is an occasional FCS win, it is always an upset.
Just normal FCS/FBS crap.

Hey Jacksonville State did beat Arkansas State and the coach at ASU got fired. Things have changed. Nearly a year to the day before Jax St beat ASU, UAB beat LSU. Anyone think that establishes UAB as being just as good as LSU? Hey they own the all-time series with LSU.

UL beat UAB in 2002...dude...that means the Cajuns are national champions now, I'm gonna go pick up my championship shirt today!
I guess some people might think that way, but most FCS fans realize what effect the 22 additional scholarships make. Many times FCS teams can hang until the fourth quarter, but fade because of lack of depth. Of course anyone could claim anything, but that doesn't make it reality.

They'll always think their superior to TROY and the rest of the Sun Belt. It's funny how they think the rivalry is still alive between the bands, when it's not. We're a great band and so are they, end of story. I'm tired of the high horse they've placed themselves on. I dread the day they decide to move up to the FBS. The whole rivalry talk will start up again and I'm sure they'll still believe their to good for the Sun Belt.
Some D1AA fans just don't get it. WKU just went through the transition and there are a couple things to keep in mind.

1 - When you transition to D1A you don't get as many D1A transfers because they have to sit out a year. D1A transfers are eligible immediately if they transfer to a D1AA program.

2 - the depth between D1AA and D1A makes a huge difference over the course of an ENTIRE season. Just because you can knock off a D1A team once during a season doesn't mean you will be able to consistently for an ENTIRE season.
Geez...these FCS guys get the occasional win against us and start having delusions of grandeur. FBS wins the vast majority of our games against FCS opponents and I think that the SB has won the lions share of those games as well. I guess the next time ULM beats Alabama it will put our entire conference on par with the SEC. 03-lmfao
Huh? Many of our members were playoff regulars, national champions, etc. in the FCS/1-AA ranks not long before making the jump. Would we have gotten worse with more scholarship players, more money committed, more press, and better recruits?
The guys in the Colonial conference were saying they were better than the MAC, until New Hampshire got totally pummeled by Toledo. Oops!
"The sunbelter just can't get it through his head that Troy was the little brother - and still is."

Did a Jacksonville St. fan really just say Troy is their little brother? Some of those fans definitely have little brother syndrome. Much like Vandy and Memphis have towards Tennessee. I've never even heard a Troy fan mention anything about Jacksonville St.

Why would we? We havnt played in over 10years and when we did it was a lopsided win. The rivalry got very boring.
Own the Sun Belt in what, field hockey? Where the hell is Jacksonville State anyway.
JSU has a MAJOR case of ***** envy. When Troy jumped from D2 to 1AA back in the Early 90s JSU followed right behind us. And ever since we moved to D1 all they talk about is when they will move up too... Just look at their press box they just opened at their stadium, it looks almost exactly like Troys!!!

About an hour outside Birmingham Alabama in a even smaller town than Troy called Jacksonville...but they do boarder Oxford which is a pretty big small town
Oh...I figured they were in Alabama, Georgia, or Mississippi.

Why is everyone wasting time on this mess?
