See... this is the type of garbage that gets people stirred up. If you don't like the guy or what he said take it up with him. Their is no need to start bashing UNT.
Sounds like someone has a mean case of the Mean Green...

This cut is not $1M towards athletics, get your facts straight. This will result in a reduction of about $150k in the athletic department. Also it is up to the university itself whether or not to apply it to academics. Why don't you worry about pulling your own head out of your ass. All you do is come on this site and whack the hornets nest when it comes to Louisiana, ULM and even La Tech even though they have no bearing on this forums.

I have come to believe that the biggest problem facing the ULL fans is an obvious lack of reading skills. Do they teach English in that area? Look at the article and I believe paragraph 16. Does that say there is a reduction of about $150K or does it specifically say $1million? If you dont understand that please reply and I will try to explain it better.
First off that's a Baton Rouge paper...not a Lafayette paper. Your first swing and a miss. Second swing and a miss...Our athletic budget is required to be a certain percentage of our overall budget...and trust me it's not a third of the overall budget...I wish it was. Since it's a 3.32 million dollar decrease in the overall budget it will only affect athletics by the overall percentage. Third swing and a miss...Ernest Gains, John Kennedy O'toole...two highly regarded writers...we have plenty of great books to read so our reading skills are pretty good. Yours is average at best. And you stadium looks like a ***** and is ******* empty.

First off, as you say, what difference does it make if it is a Baton Rouge paper other than your local paper is good at slanting information. That information was published statewide though through various outlets and is figures supplied by the ULL ADMINISTRATION to the Board of Regents as to how they would make their required $3.32mil reduction. So, thats a hit rather than a miss. Secondly, the formular for determining how much taxpayer funds a university can transfer to athletics determines how much IS ALLOWED, not how much is required. A school is not REQUIRED to transfer anything, only ALLOWED a certain percentage if they want. So, another hit for me, actually a home run and I win the game. So far as what our stadium looks like one can form their own opinion, yours is what it is and you are entitled to that. I will add the FIELD looks good from any of our club seating and especially the many luxury suites.

Besides should you be worried what the Pukes have to cut? They have wasted more tax payer dollors that most of the European Union.
