Saw a RUMOR on the Toledo board about talks for UC coming to the Glass Bowl next season in football. Just curious if this has any merit.

I'd like to see the final game for UT announced already. If Zach still lurks/posts here, maybe he knows something or can find out.

As far as the Bearcats, there seems to be some confusion regarding the Cincinnati schedule. On their website, at least as of today, they list a game at Ohio State on their 2012 schedule. At the Ohio State site, the Bearcats aren't listed as a 2012 opponent. Maybe I'm the one that's confused, but something doesn't seem right.

is that right? we play at purdue three years in a row?
Why in the hell would UC agree to play at Toledo? Good grief.
Saw them knock off Airforce in the military bowl, also saw them level Temple.
Beats the hell out of playing Austin Peay.
We didn't play AT AP though.

Do not give up a home game for this game!

Exactly. Especially since we already moved our VT "home game" to DC.
Wondering if the AD is scrambling to fill the holes that OSU and TCU left us? I'm assuming (hoping) it's at least a home and home or 2 for 1. Won't be an easy place to play and I'm sure they'll be sky high for that one.
Toledo can come here but there's no way we should go there. tOSU wouldn't.
If the Rockets want a game with the Bearcats it should be at Nippert.

No that info is wrong. We have a 1-1 with Purdue. We don't play OSU in 2012.
We cancelled that game because UC needed to add TCU and of course the TCU game is no more. We need to add 2 games for 2012.

OSU replaced our game with UCF.
With the hillbillies fighting to get out of the BE next year, I wonder if we may need to find yet another team to fill a slot.
I dont know anything about a Toledo game but that info is wrong, UC isnt playing SDSU next year.

The only non-con games scheduled as of now are Va Tech on 9/29 and Miami on 10/6.

They will play the FCS team like always and are trying to get 7 home games, if the game against VT counts as one is something I dont know

No way UC should play at Toledo next year. We already have one game away from campus in the non-conference schedule, no reason to add a good MAC school on the road.

Other than @Miami I like how the 2013 Schedule looks.

Sounds like a done deal. Poster on another UC Board said it was confirmed by someone in the Bearcat AD @ the 1200 Club Xmas Party.

If this is true it's a terrible job of scheduling. Toledo is going to be loaded next year and UC will be rebuilding a little bit.

No knock on Toledo but UC shouldn't be doing home and away with MAC schools.
Am I wrong to assume it has everything to do with money, not wanting to pay significant money to a lesser program to come to UC on a yearly basis?

Everything has to do with money but this also I believe has something to do with having open dates this late in the game. I'd rather play at Toledo than play a second 1AA game at home, but I agree that I wouldn't schedule away games at MAC schools if there's any options to play 1A at home.

Agreed. Plus if you play two FCS schools on your schedule, you can only count 1 of those wins towards your bowl resume (needing 7 total wins to be bowl eligible instead of 6).

That being said, from the first few months on the job, Whit Babcock seems like the anti-Mike Thomas. And if that's any indication as to how Babcock operates I doubt UC accepts less than a home-away-home with Toledo, whereas MT would have done a home-and-home or even just a single trip to Toledo in a desperate attempt to save the schedule.
