Has been an enjoyable year for EMU sports and for those who have ties to Detroit or other parts of the state of Michigan.

Coach Murphy has been a welcome addition to the EMU family.

Coach English has done a very nice job and we were what 9 seconds from possibly going bowling.

The Lions have shown how good management and coaching can turn around a team which had been down for over a decade.

Ditto for Wayne State which had a very, very bad program and turned it into the almost ultimate Cinderella, national championship runner ups.

Taking a cue from the Lions, even UofM to the west turned around a program which kind of went into reverse.

Our rivals in Kalamazoo had a nice season and get their chance to celebrate on national television Tuesday.

MSU continues to be a very good football program.

The Tigers were also a pleasant surprise going deep into the playoffs.

Good health and happiness throughout this holiday season and in 2012 and:

GO GREEN!!

Yep. Everyone has something going for them except CMU.

Might also add that men's baseball had a very good season as did women's basketball and women's T&F.

There was a little bit of everything for EMU sports fans.

I've really enjoyed the 2011 sports year.

Men's cross country team: MAC Champions! That's the way you do it.
