MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE !

If anyone needs a place to worship this holiday season.....Hope has services @ 3pm, 5pm, 7pm and 9pm. We will be having a small, unplugged Christmas day service in the South Hall at 11:15 am!

Communion will be served tonight @ 9pm.

WTF was going on last night? Traffic was effed.

We had services @5pm and 7pm last night.
we enjoyed the service this year.

we laughed about it, but wonder how many were upset about the traffic. So much for the 5pm service being one of the smallest. We chose that one mainly due to our schedule, but also since it was to be one of the smaller ones. No chance on that. There were more people inside than we'd ever seen. I guess everyone tried to make it to the smaller service to miss some of the crowd.
We did the 7pm service Sat. night and it was almost full. I'm waiting on a youtube of Austin's "Let there be Light"....good grief, that was awesome. The fiddle player was a trip to watch and seeing Ephie back singing @ Hope made me cry.

We usually end up going to multiple services to fit family and friends needs.

If it fits your schedule, the 9:00 PM Christmas Eve service is usually best each year and it's "moderately" attended. Since it's the last service of a long 2 days, they are more relaxed and seem to be having a lot of fun.

The lighting of the candles is pretty impressive when it's full.

yeah the candles looked really neat with the place being packed. The one we went to last year wasn't quite as full so you could see gaps in the candles. Still really neat, but we thought even more impressive this year.
At Bellevue instead of candles they handed out keychains with an LED light.

Really neat to see the light fill up a dark sanctuary.
Presbyterians can't afford LEDs.

or maybe the Presbyterians are better capable of holding a lit candle, since those Bellevue-ians must also carry around that stick up their ass

oh yeah, religion smack! I'm ready to take on that catholic church sign now!
It's not a stick-in-the-ass problem, sir, it's the whole women get to speak/drive/vote thing.
