Haven't seen the second trailer discussed anywhere on here..

I'm trying to keep my expectations tempered, as I honestly don't believe anything or anyone will be able to top Heath Ledger as The Joker. But Christopher Nolan....wow....this guy doesn't make bad movies.

"When Gotham is in ashes...."
Heath Ledger broke the mold as Joker. That was such an insane performance that I find other attempts to portray Joker pretty much unwatchable. I'll have to watch the trailer...if nothing else, I'm waiting to see how Bane is depicted.
I tried to post about it yesterday, but couldn't embed the IMDB trailer, so I gave up.

It should be interesting. I read somewhere that, in order to keep the ending a secret, the cast was verbally given the script for the final scenes.

I'm a little nervous about Anne Hathaway....but Nolan seems to know what he's doing.

Good thing Hines Ward can run fast eh?
It was cool seeing so many familiar buildings and places in the trailer. The building my wife used to work in is Gotham City Hall (where you see the tank roll up the stairs). We decided no to go to be extras in the stadium scene because traffic was so bad. I think half of Pittsburgh showed up for that.
From what little I have seen and heard, Tom Hardy's character Bane should be worth the wait.

Totally agree. I actually tried to watch the 1989 Batman yesterday, and Jack Nicholson looked like a moron. Ledger's performance of that character will never be touched.

Agree about Ledger's performance...horrible that his life ended so damn early. 03-banghead

Agreed. I put off watching this film because people tend to upsell a product like this due to the circumstances but Ledger was a genius. Damn shame about him leaving to early.
I saw the prologue... All I can say is:

DUDE!
Can't stand Anne Hathaway! Can not stand her!(especially after that debacle that was the Oscars) This is Katie Holmes 2.0 IMO. Still should be a good movie though.
Not a fan of Hathaway at all. Her outfit is even worse (see below). I thought Catwoman was suppose to be hot. In this movie no so much, but looking forward to Bane.

Maggie Gyllelhaal

Everyone thought Heath Ledger was going to suck as the Joker (me included) and he knocked it out of the park. There were many young actresses trying to get this role (including Natalie Portman I think), so there had to be something about Anne Hathaway to win over Chris Nolan.

Plus you can lust over Marion Cotillard who is probably playing a role that isn't what it seems to balance out Hathaway.

Looks like what Catwoman wears in Arkham City.

Anyone who doesn't like Ann Hathaway has not seen Havoc.

She is, uh, smart and stuff.
Hathaway is one of the best young actresses out there. It isn't a question of if she will ever win an Oscar, but when.
I've been to Anne Hathaway's house. Twice. The rooms and furniture are really small. Of course, it's not like Will was around all that much.
I like Anne Hathaway. Wouldn't have pictured her as Catwoman, but she's an actress. It's what they do.

Wasn't he off in London doing something? :)

Don't humor him.

Writing roles for his wife, apparently. "Alas, poor Yorick. I knew him, Catwoman..."
