Tennessee- no game
Memphis vs Georgetown
Florida vs Florida St.
Arkansas VS whocares

I hope he picks Memphis, but at this point I'm so over the drama. I always loved this quote "your either with us or against us". There will be no love in this city if you pick any team but the Tigers. That's the way it is!!!!

Perhaps the time was chosen, not as a slight against Memphis, but to keep it from becoming a "boo" fest should he choose to go to one of the lesser teams.....
Eh...If the reports are true, you can't blame the kid...

Just as we couldn't blame Moultrie for not transferring here with the extra restrictions that would have been placed on him...Man I hate Floyd, Moultrie would have been perfect.
I honestly don't care where he goes anymore....but I wish him well.

What would have been the restrictions on Moultrie?

He would have been a senior this year, instead of being a redshirted Junior this year, and something else.

I don't understand this - why?

Tim Floyd put a stipulation in his release that said he couln't go to Memphis without sitting a year causing him to lose a year of eligibillity. I think they have five years to play 4 seasons.
He's gonna go to Tennessee, be eligible immediately, then play against us on January 4th. Its gonna be so hostile in there they may have to escort him around. He will get destroyed by the fans in the Forum if he plays.

I was told he would not be eligible to play until 2nd semester starts (2nd week of January). I would assume he would be there but just not able to play....on the bench I guess ?
Stokes won't be eligible until January 12. So no PJPrince jersey pop until 2014. Hopefully he's in the NBA or has transferred someone by then.
Let's say he goes to UT but they dont make the tourney this year..... then whats the point?

"Let's say?" Um, I think we can go ahead and put that one in stone.

Very good point.

From another thread:

Quote: I believe JS is committing career suicide by going to UTK. He'll waste his frosh year there this year, play second fiddle to maymon next year, then be the only frontcourt player on a bad team two years from now. UTk will likely not go the the Dance the next few years. He'll get no exposure and it will be difficult for him to fill up the stat sheet on a guard heavy team.

If he came to Memphis (assuming he could bang) he would likely get 15 minutes a game this year and get some NCAA tourney experience. This year would be gravy for him. Next year, (assuming the frontcourt would have him, Shaq, Black and Hall) he would have a chance to shine. Next year and the year after might be Memphis' best chance to make deep runs in the tourney, and he would get all kinds of chances to make his name.

If he went to UK, he wouldn't see a minute this year, and then he would have the opportunity to compete next year against guys rated higer than him.

I have no idea what Ark has, just know they aren't any good now.
With the bad losses TN has this year already, they aren't making the NCAA tourney- be lucky to make the NIT. Austin Peay- ugghh. They're looking at a .500 season once conference starts, with our without JS, doesn't matter. He wouldn't make that much difference on that team as far as wins or losses go, he's too far behind.

He's kidding himself if he thinks he goes anywhere and contributes significantly this late in the game. It took Derrick Rose a full season to do that, and he was a superstar talent on a veteran team. Tennessee doesn't have that type of support system- I think we are better situation for him, but let him make his decision.

One things for sure, once he signs the dotted line for someone, all this attention for JS will quickly be over and he'll be somewhat in the real world again, getting yelled at by coaches for making stupid freshmen mistakes, and coaches telling him to shut down his twitter account, etc... LOL
UT's gonna have about 12 wins this season, with or without Stokes.
I'm thinking they will have 20 L's.
