Beating Roosevelt is even money, odds for not winning a game all year, probably 1 in 500 right now.
Actually now that Im looking at it, Roosevelt loss to UIC by more than we did, NIU might be favored vs Roosevelt
The team needs a win badly to build some confidence. Montgomery has a very difficult job keeping them positive and buying into the program and into themselves.
I really think that we have the right guy to lead us out of the abyss but it will take some time.

Anyways, we will beat Roosevelt University. They are a 2-8 NAIA team and this is only their second dang year playing basketball. However, I just looked at D-III Carthage and they're only 5-4 right now.

KenPom has a paywall now, but you can still see Eastern Michigan is #308 & Toledo is #284 so there are a couple potential wins come conference play. Too bad NIU is ranked #342.
They had a shot at the end to beat Milwaukee and they probably beat UIC if Nader isn't hurt. The only games they've really been housed in are the Purdue and Iowa games. They'll beat Roosevelt and they'll get somebody else, but I think they'll struggle to win 5 at this point.
I still refuse to sour on Monty or any of the young guys yet. We'll see how much improvement is made by the end of the season.
