NCSU has sold 24k tickets for their bowl game. How are the other schools doing in that department?
I've heard ticket sales are not going well. At least sales through the schools. The local radio station reported that VT was selling tickets for $120 but you could get better seats through StubHub for $55. You don't need a college degree to do that math.

Tech's sold about half according to this report: http://espn.go.com/college-football/bowl...wl-season. Maybe its just early. A lot of people I know are excited about being able to go to NO rather than Miami, but maybe its all just talk.
I expect GT to sell between 7,500 and 10,000 for the Sun Bowl ... but probably 2 out of 3 of them either won't be used or will be donated to local military in El Paso. However, GT has a rich tradition if getting shafted in bowl selection, and this year we got a good draw, so I'm making the trip to El Paso. I'll be on the 50 yd line about a dozen rows up in a GT black watch helmet. No doubt will so few GT fans there I will be on TV. So keep an eye out for me.
I heard tonight Louisville sold their allotment. UL fans also buy on the open market. Should be good game.

I'll be there...but the game is hard for people w/ 9-5 jobs and kids to get to being that it is on a Tuesday night after a holiday.
