A new 2-story $45 million FB building to include other stadium enhancements as well, will be built soon near one endzone area.
Congratulations, Rice! Apparently, you have a BOT to be proud of that has your best interest in mind.

So let me get this straight. Tulane's getting a new stadium, Rice is getting one. It looks as if UAB and Memphis are going to be bringing up the rear in getting an on-campus football stadium.

Difference being?

Tulane and Rice are both private institutions that have generations and generations of wealthy alumni/potential donors.

Memphis and UAB are both public universities at the mercy of the state. Not to mention most of the big donors at UAB are older than the school itself.
Public or private, they still field a team with whom UAB must compete for W-L record and recruits. Last I heard, they aren't going anywhere else but C-USA and no * will be placed next to our score because of that difference.

This!!!! For all the $$$$ UAB makes for this state, when it wants a mere 30,000 seat on-campus stadium for its' football team, the very state it makes all that $$$$ for goes Satanic on it. John Rogers words ring loud and true!!!

The Engel and Stephens family won't be around to give UAB money forever
