That was beyond awesome.

I love him putting it top shelf at the end for good measure.
That is so fantastic.
We watched it live at the bar last night. You could hear the whole place exhale in frustration.

The MN fans thought it was as dikk move. Imagine that.....
He was moving forward
The NHL will crack down on this "style" of shootout goal in the offseason. Martin St. Louis trademark "stop" was the precursor to Kaner's move.

As long as you do not stop , they should not change the rule, and I doubt they will. Take a look at how much talk this shot generated, that is what the NHL wants, fans talking about a player's skill. One defense for this type of shot would be for the goalie to come out a little bit, at least he would force a commitment from the shooter.
This was such an awesome shot!!! I've watched it live and at least 10 more times on reply and it never gets old! :)

I don't know what there is to crack down on. The only way to crack down on that goal is to say you can't stick-handle more than X times - which would be ridiculous. Far more shootout shots are missed than made, so ones like these just add to the excitement IMO.

One of the linesman will be holding a radar gun on the player. If his speed drops below 3 miles an hour, no shot lol
