I am sure last weekend and this weekend had a large contingent of recruits. Surprised that no verbals came out unless most of the visits were by recruits that have alreadt verballed
Is this where everyone talks about all the silent verbals? You know that Novak, Kill and now Doeren are different than all other coaches. They tell the verbals to say nothing.
I did notice that Charlie Weis offered that one WR from KS that committed to us. Tis the season when BCS schools with bad recruiting classes begin to raid MAC schools for recruits.
Any names that can be released so we get an idea of who was here? Any surprise visitors?

This was all I saw twitter
Dinner with recruits on the 9th @ the Barsema Visitor Center
Breakfast on the 10th with "official visitors" before practice

If Doeren doesn't want word of who was here that is fine by me. Any of these kids could change their mind in the next 45 days and they are not a Huskie until that LOI comes rolling in.
How do you think Greg Barksdale's transferring will affect recruiting?
After this, I heard he changed his mind.

Barksdale is transferring?

Probably Novak's fault.
We need to win the Godaddy Bowl. That will also help recruiting.

Depends on the recruit. But in general if they've never seen snow it's probably a good thing.

Every time I'm with someone when they see snow for the first time in person, their reaction is typically positive.

Also, there may be students out playing in the snow by the lagoon and that scene will probably be helpful in selling the recruits about "fun in the snow" activities. Let's get Beckman's 18-year old daughter out there playing in the snow in a bikini. :sly:

I would say it could be a bit of a negative for a kid from Florida. The fact that the IPF is a reality however, will negate this thought.
So, 2 negatives = positive?

Tell 'em this is what a blizzard is like.

I'd say this is a good snow for us. The weather is no mystery, but a light blanket of snow will pretty up the campus, and it's not super cold. Even though it's colder than any southern guy would be comfortable with, it's also the kind of weather where someone would say "This isn't so bad." Any kid who's serious enough to make an official visit isn't going to admit that this weather sucks too bad to attend here.

I quote Paulie from Rocky IV:"So this is Russia? Don't look so tough, Rock."

Besides, we know it isn't football practice in November that will suck, it's walking to the Yordon in January to lift at 6am that will freeze the snot in your nose.
