I read in the enquirer there will be a press conference at 2 where I believe the players will be apologizing. I am assuming it will be streaming on gobearcats.com
Link via gobearcats.com to watch live:
http://www.gobearcats.com/allaccess/?media=288198
700 will carry it

can also watch it on: http://www.livestream.com/cincinnati
could the feed possibly be any quieter?
can't hear any audio on either link for me; could be my computer

a recap would be appreciated; thank you
audio just turned up
WLW feed works fine
UC's video feed is nearly silent
I'm hearing it ok.
Concur, WLW's is fine
Yancy with some tears
I missed it - what was said?
Thx, BR
I sincerely appreciate Babcock's candor when addressing the possibility of cancelling the series. For those not watching, he really left it open-ended and said there is "a lot of work on the front end" still to be discussed before the series can continue.
Work has the website blocked if someone could fill me in after. Thanks!
I would love to see the series cancelled. XU fans would be so pissed since it is like their Super Bowl and I honestly dont think UC fans even really care about the game anymore.

Well, I only got in a few minutes ago but I detected several references from the media with regards to the referees of the game, making it sound like the refs were pretty green (I think the questioner was angling for a narrative to blame the refs for letting it get out of hand) and one reporter mentioned that he spoke with a veteran ref who told him that none of his colleagues feel comfortable reffing this game anymore - and I think the ref told him that before Saturday. Just an interesting tidbit if true.
gametime getting plenty of love from the camera
It was what you expect. Sincere apologies, no excuses from anyone.

There was talk about how the A-10 at the last minute sent referees in that had never done a Shootout before and that probably didn't help matters. Cronin said that had he known that he would have lobbied hard against that.

Babcock was questioned on why only 6 games for Yancy out of a 30 game season, when LaGarrett Blount got 10 games (out of 12) for a similar incident a couple years ago. Babcock said they did take that into consideration but they concluded this incident was not the same. Blount's was in a handshake line, Yancy's in the middle of a melee. Not excusing it but just pointing out differences. Said he consulted with other AD's and coaches around the country to gauge fairness of punishment before doling it out. Said they actually ended up at 6 games for each which was longer than the advice given to them by those with whom they consulted.
LOL, UC players having to go to Anger Management training...
