DickCronin is a scumbag, and so is his team. He's only a couple of years removed from that epic bagging in Bartow.
Why in the hell would Xavier let the players involved in the brawl do a post-game press conference?
Here's Cronin's post game comments:

Actually Cronin had some pretty good quotes saying his team needs to grow up and their behavior was inexcusable.
Still doesn't keep him from being one of these:

not a big fan of his, but there were some great points in that rant
Stay classy Cincinnati.
Think what you think about him... I have NO idea who he is. I can say this, I agree with his comments.

He physically removed the jerseys of some of the players... wow.

I agree with him... the officials should have reigned this in much earlier.
Professional basketball has invaded college ball :) The thuggery is at high levels.
Yancy Gates is a grown man out there.. Looks like a Kimbo Slice form
A bunch of thugs and gangsters...

A bunch of damn idiots.
Good words by Mick Cronin. He just went up a notch or 3 in my book.
It's always interesting, to say the least, to watch guys reveal their basic instincts during these incidents.

His comments about the fight starts around 4:30.

In my book, he has redeemed himself with me. Saying things that a lot of coaches should be saying.

I agree 300%.

Refreshing to hear a coach take the stance he is.

Yep, probably wishing they could do that one over.

Quote:"We're grown men over here," Holloway explained. "We got a whole bunch of gangsters in the locker room. Not thugs, but tough guys on the court."

Quote:Holloway readily admitted to taunting the UC bench, coaches and players, as the clock wound down. "I talked to that whole staff. I said this is my city. I'm cut from a different cloth. None of them guys on their team is like me. I let the whole staff know none of them was like me," he said.

If you watch Holloway play, that's evident. No one is like him. He is often the best player on the floor. He doesn't need to prove a thing. "Isn't the play enough?" I asked Holloway, in a hallway near the Xavier locker room, after the press conference.

"That's what the Crosstown Shootout is about," he said. "Guys getting ejected, guys throwing elbows."

I thought it was about a basketball game.

"You don't let people disrespect you. That's what I'm about. I don't regret anything that happened," said Holloway.

Quote:Kenny Frease wobbled to his feet. Tu Holloway climbed the scorer's table, exultant. Xavier students chanted "F--- UC" as the Bearcats walked out of the gym.

Just a fine display of honor defended, all the way around.

On a related note, can someone explain the difference between a gangster and a thug.
