At this time last year the men's team was 6-3. Current record is 3-6.
You're being kind by counting the exhibition game against Philander as a win. It was fun to watch, and maybe it will give us a little momentum and confidence, but we're still awful from the three point line, and that has to change or we'll be dead in the water against decent teams.

Well if we don't count Philander as a win, does that mean we don't have to count Kentucky as a loss? I assume the talent differential will be about the same.
We played Philander last year in the same first 9 games. If you don't count them then we were only 5-3 last year and are 2-6 this year

Also UCA will be happy to know they don't have to count the Philander Game.

We're both D1 teams. Philander is an NAIA school. Like a college playing a high school. Not a good analogy. It counts as a win if we beat the worse D1 team in the country. Some D2 schools might be better, but the D1 game counts as a win I like games that count. Even if it doesn't affect our RPI in a positive manner. It's still a D1 win, and that's important to me anyway.
After 8 games last year the Lady Trojans were only 3-5 and went on to win the Conference and go on to the NCAA. This year they are also at 3-5. It's time to start that winning streak.

I don't have any idea what to expect from the Sun Belt teams, but this may be a long season. I'd be surprised if we win anymore OC teams. If the Sun Belt is a bad as usual, we may win most of our home games. Middle, Western and Denver are usually the cream of the crop. And ASU is ASU and usually plays us tough. Maybe we can beat the others, especially at home. That said, it may still be a long year because of the hole we're going to be in when the conference starts.
At least we're getting great game day coverage from the Demozette.........NOT!

We'll be undefeated when the conference starts.
