A-F4CKING-MEN! The regular season just got a whole lot more meaningful. There will be some major bloodletting coming during the regular season with playoffs going through divisions now. Making teams get out of their divisions in the playoffs is going to juice up rivalries we haven't seen in ages. Props to the NHL for doing the right thing.
They better not f4ck this up and not call these divisions by the old school division names, i.e. Patrick, Norris, Smythe and Adams divisions.
Need to wait to see if they screw this up first. The leading contender for the playoff setup is to re-seed the 4 teams that make it out of the divisions (which they want to call conferences)
Doesn't do much good if you bring back the old divisional names only to have to retire the Prince of Wales trophy and the Campbell Bowl because there are no actual conferences anymore, IMO.

SJ and Dallas had a weird thing going on where the home team usually lost. We are going to miss beating SJ on the road,but surely not going to miss losing at home to them. For unknown reasons, the games between the two got overly physical. So it's been real and it's been fun. (But it hasn't been real fun, LOL).
I guess we will have to re-focus on beating up the Blackhawks again.
