According to our Rivals writer and some others on Twitter.

I'm disappointed we didn't get the Military Bowl, but happy to just be bowling after last year.
Congrats to Owls!
So that leaves either Birmingham or San Francisco for Toledo?
Congrats, but you are right, the Military Bowl was the best fit.
Hopefully Birmingham..don't want to play a UCLA with a losing record (already) in the Hunger Bowl. Hopefully Illinois ends up there.

Word is Illinois is going to the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. Opponent is still TBD.
The philly.com site is reporting the same thing.

It would be but Toledo isn't still within drivng distance so hopefully the MAC will make a good attendance showing. I get the feeling the conference did some horse trading to get a MAC school still reasonably close to the Military and take advantage of Temple's tv ratings for a western game.

Sounds stupid to me. Send Temple to the Military Bowl. That's friggin' obvious. Ratings aren't gonna change much one way or the other.

I think I'd rather head to New Mexico! What a great trip ...

I'll take it, that kind of weather it can play into Temple's offensive strength in the ground game. Plus, it's consistent with the last 2 bowls we palyed in both cold weather, DC and ath the Meadowlands in '79 at the defnct Garden State Bowl. I guess that means next year we have to shoot for the Potato Bowl or the Pinstripe bow...:-)
It's really unlikely you'll see that kind of weather there. This is pretty unusual for them.

Actually, I kind of like the idea of NY during the Holidays.
The Wyoming players read that weather report as "balmy".
So are you guys cheering for or against Temple? or not interested?
You are we.

Go Owls.

I think most of us will be cheering for Temple. I think our dislike of a paltry few posters can be put aside for a game especially since you are able to get a good win for the conference against the MWC.
Cheering for Temple! Get a win for the Mac baby!
