Am I the only one who believes Oklahoma State deserves a chance to play LSU for the national title?

As far as I'm concerned, Alabama had their chance @ home a month ago. What happened to all the "you have to win your conference!" talk in order to be in the championship game? Is it "fair" to force LSU to beat a conference rival again after defeating them on the road?

I was very impressed with OSU tonight. If I held a vote, I'd move them ahead of Alabama. The matchup between LSU's defense against OSU's offense is something I'd really love to see.
I agree.
BCS is supposed to identify the best two teams. I don't buy the argument that Alabama had their chance, if they're the second best team they should go. However I think there's a legitimate argument that OSU is the second best team. Going to be really interesting tomorrow.
I think LSU vs OSU is more intriguing.
I would prefer to see LSU and Oklahoma State. But LSU and Alabama are the two best teams in my estimation
I agree, however...you could make the argument that OSU doesn't deserve it after losing to Iowa State (Iowa State is not a good team). I do think Alabama could and probably will prove that they are the best, even though LSU won that game 9-6 in OT, Alabama missed 4 FG's and had two picks deep in LSU territory...a game that Bama should have won. Bama and LSU should be playing in the NC game, but that is just my 2cents.
I hope it's LSU/OSU...I can't stand to watch another LSU/Bama snorer

That said, they did not even win their conference. OSU should go.
It should be the Cowboys. They lost to Iowa State after the plane crash but they won the Big 12. Bowl games in my view should put schools of different conferences together. I also thinking winning the conference is important because it the only thing each team can control every season.

My rankings would be 1. LSU 2. Oklahoma State 3. Stanford 4. Alabama

Stanford ahead of Bama because they tied for the north division's top spot in the PAC-12.
Lots of chatter out there of OSU jumping Alabama. I hope it happens.
I for one would love to see LSU vs Bama again. The first matchup was a slober-knocker.
As dull as the idea of a rematch may be, there is simply no doubt that LSU and Bama are the 2 best teams. OSU isn't even in the same area code. Their total D isn't even ranked in the TOP 100!!!

I mean, I get it. Offense is seductive. You see them put up points, they win, etc....however, to marginalize or in some cases simply ignore what's done to them on the other end of the field is a crime. Every year we see a high flying B12 team come down the pike and when matched up against the superior defenses of the SEC every time we see those offenses taken away from them and the exploitation of their sorry Ds.

Having said that, I wouldn't mind seeing LSU expose OSU, however I would be watching with the understanding that the 2 best teams are not playing each other.....and in that sense I would feel robbed a bit.

I agree. You'll never hear OSU mention it, but it had to have some impact on their game preparation.

Had OSU not stomped the crap out of Oklahoma, I'd have supported an Alabama/LSU rematch.

I wouldn't be able to put Stanford ahead of Alabama though.
If you look at stats between Oklahoma State and Alabama (most wins over ranked opponents, conference champion, etc.), Oklahoma State comes out ahead in everything except that Alabama's loss was to a higher ranked team.

Alabama had their chance. We already know how LSU and Alabama match up, but we have no idea how OSU and LSU do. Let's find out (or have an 8 team playoff so we can find out).

Curious as to how you felt in 2006 when your beloved Wolverines were in Alabama's position? Did you think they deserved a rematch against the Buckeyes for the championship?
After seeing Saban beg for a rematch all day long yesterday, I was glad to see this:

That's the thing, everyone claimed (especially in the SEC) that they couldn't remain at #2 because they didn't win their conference.
Arguably the best win amongst Bama and OSU is the crushing of the one time title game fav OU. I think OSU should get the shot. oSU's loss was bad, but they had extenuating circumstances with the plane crash.
I'm unclear how the loss of a woman's basketball coach affected the ENTIRE team's performance versus Iowa State.

C'mon man.

That narrative is so full of holes. Who wants to put money down that says even 5 of the guys on that team even had an idea of who those coaches were.

This is gonna come down to decimal points. Just 32 pts between Ala and Okla St in coaches. Okla St expected to lead in computers. Wow.
