A new name has cropped up on the USA radar. 6'3" 295lb center Mustafa Johnson of Riverside CC in California. He was first team all-conference this past year for the Tigers who have gone 21-1 in Johnson's time there.
He has interest from Charleston Southern, Gardner-Webb, Hawaii, NMSU and Youngstown State.
Here is a link to some highlights from his freshman year.

At least he's not snapping it at the QB's feet in any of those clips.

This one looks legit to me.
6'3 295lb is a good size center, might need to get CJ a stool to jump on to make a pass.
Think this would scare off Samuels?

I doubt it. Samuels is hoping for an SEC offer, which means his goal is to go somewhere that already has quality OL depth. Also, if he signs with USA, he'll be our highest rated commit, so technically speaking he'd be the alpha male of the OL group.

Also, Kyron played OT as a junior, switched to center this year, and then moved over to OG about halfway through the season. He could play anywhere. Chances are Mustafa Johnson could probably play OG, too.

By the way, Samuels and Steven Foster tweeted back and forth a good bit last night about what they were packing for the AL-MS all-star game. It's possible they might be roommates.
Samuels tweeting today that Mississippi State visited his school this morning and Alabama coming by this afternoon.

He's been Academic All-Conference both years he's been at Riverside.
2011 1st Team All-Conference.
2011 Team Captain
2010 2nd Team All-Conference
2010 his coaches voted him the team's most improved offensive player.

Regardless.....I'm still hoping Samuels will eventually commit to South.
