If the SEC can't send a team to the Liberty bowl I believe you guys are next in line....who do you predict would be the most likely team invited to the Liberty Bowl against Southern Miss? WVU? Cincy? Pitt? Rutgers?...what say you?

Who cares? It's the Liberty Bowl.
Lots of people care.
YOU don't care.

Why the disdain for the Liberty bowl? Hasn't it been around since dinosaurs walked the earth? I for one have a particular affinity for the Liberty bowl for obvioius reasons.
Louisville rematch, TTT!
Wrong forum? Don't see the relevance to Conference Realignment...

Anyways, almost feel bad for Liberty Bowl. They don't get Houston or an SEC team, now they have been reduced to a St.Pete bowl status. In my opinion they wont take that lightly and will attempt to shop the pick for a better matchup.

You must be a Pittsburgh fan...and/or a troll.

The only teams it won't be are Rutgers (going to the Pinstripe Bowl) or Louisville (went last year). My guess is that it would be Cincinnati if they don't get the BCS bid or the winner of Pitt/Syracuse.
The Liberty Bowl for the Bearcats would be fantastic. It's not too far from Cincinnati by car, and would be a fun trip to Memphis.

FWIW, Vandy fans are looking into hotel reservations in Memphis.

It's a better payout than most of the other 30+ bowls.

Shouldn't your team at least be bowl eligible before bad mouthing any bowl game?
The Liberty bowl games are great....Been to Memphis four times to watch Louisville play Memphis, Boise St., BYU & Colorodo St...A game against Miss. St. would be nice this time around...North Carolina would be great as well...But the Orange Bowl would be a BIG statement.
I was at the Liberty in 97 and it is one of the best bowls I've ever been to. Very well run. I wouldn't want to live in Memphis, but there is enough to do to make a short trip more than worthwhile.
