As we got our safety against EMU yesterday, I couldn't help but think we need a new tradition. When we pin our opponent deep, say inside the 3 yard line, this song needs to be played to get the crowd fired up.

Would anyone really know what this song is? I know the song, but is that the real name?
I actually sampled it in my high school class last monday and my students did...amoung other things, it was performed on Glee last season
and yes....the real name is SAFETY DANCE originally by Men Without HAts....i have the vinyl.....sadly

Heck ya they would, especially the old farts on the west side. Yes, Safety Dance is the name of the song. People would start to get it as soon as the intro music played, then all you'd have to do is put the first few lyrics up on the board and the spelling of S-A-F-E-T-Y
