I took a gander on to your board this morning. I noticed some of your faithful are making the trip up to BG for the game tomorrow. It was brought up for someone to posts things to do/places to eat in Bowling Green.

Figured I would post a few things and if one of you all could be so kind as to repost this on your board so that your fans can enjoy a few places in Bowling Green.

Food:

-Mariahs (downtown). Family owned restaraunt that is an instituion in this town. Great food in just about any form or fashion. Also connected with Legends Bar incase you want to take a little edge off of the loss. 04-cheers

-Lost River Pizza Co. (Nashville Rd). Newly opened pizza joint here in town. They serve a wide variety, but they are growing in popularity because of their Chicago style deep dish. They also serve over 100 different brands of beer of which 30 are on tap. So for you beer cconnoisseurs this is the place to go.

-Double Dogs (Scottsville Rd). Sports bar with a wide variety of foods. They are a little pricey on their food, but it tastes great! Also have a selection of Microbrewery beers both on tap and out of the bottle.

-Smoky Pig (Louisville Rd). Best BBQ in Bowling Green. Whether you want a rub or want it dipped it is authentic Tompkinsville Style BBQ. If you like a little kick to your BBQ then ask for it dipped.

Attractions:

-National Corvette Museum (exit 28 off I-65) Like fast cars and good ole American muscle? Bowling Green is world famous for being the one and only place that the Corvette is made.

-Lost River Cave (Nashville Rd) Not sure of their hours of operation during the winter months. Definitely a place to check out if you are in to history. Was a hideout for the Jesse James game when they were in Kentucky. They have cave boat tours as well that are great for the whole family.

Nightlife:

Just go downtown. Several bars along the square and are usually the place to be. Not sure how jumping they will be this Saturday with some of the Students not being back from break.

Or you can check out Hilligans up the Hill on College St close to campus. That is where myself and a few others will be post game. More of a college bar.

If you are staying in town Saturday night you should come out and watch the Tops MBB game. I will warn you it is not the WKU teams of the past few years. They are a young group of Kids that hustle their butts off though.

So hope this helps and if you have anymore questions feel free to ask. Enjoy your visit to Bowling Green. I hope all of you making the trip have a safe and enjoyable time.
