Starting in the 2006 football season...

ESPN will take over Monday Night Football

NFL returns to NBC. They will now show Sunday Night Football

NBC will also air the '09 & '12 Super Bowls

ABC out of the FB business

Fox and CBS are unchanged

Personally I think it stinks that MNF is going to ESPN, but the rankings have been decreasing the past few years so maybe this will bring them up again. Who knows.
To me, the interesting thing about this isn't MNF (which all of the focus and media attention has been on), but rather that NBC is back in the major sports realm.

Another hopeful sign that the landscape may be changing.

Hopefully ESPN will get the Dolby Digital 5.1 sound going. ABC had it and the sound was incredible compared to ESPN's game. CBS and Fox should both have the DD5.1 next year for all of the NFL games each week, from what I understand.
