Rivalry game in Athens on Tuesday nite on TV. Last home game for Lavon Brazil Ohio's all-time receiving leader. Bobcats going for their 9th win on the season. Perhaps some top 25 votes next week if Ohio gets the win. Bobcats have won last 5 in the series. Solich 5-1 vs Miami.
Ohio's schedule will prevent them from busting the top25. You're probably right about getting some votes tho. They need to win the MACC and a bowl game to get in it most likely.

Are students in school this week?

(I know Ohio has an unusual calendar).

Not sure...but think I heard dorm rooms close for Holidays at 6pm today. They should be off quarter system next year though and on Semesters.

GO CATS!

yes i, too, heard the residence halls will be closing for the quarter tonight at 6:00. i'm hoping some of the students will hang around to watch the game, but with the rain coming in and all, i imagine most of them just want to get on the road for home.

and yes this will be the last time we have to deal with this as we are converting to semesters in Fall 2012.

Don't be so sure. CMU is on semesters but closes the residence halls over Turkey Day, as do all other schools I have been associated with. Mostly to give the staff a chance to go home I believe.
Peden is predicted to be a lake tonight in front of 10,000 no shows.

Not a great way to end the season.

What we were referring to is that Ohio's dorms are closing tonight for the remainder of the year, not just a few days. So most Ohio students will be headed out of town for a 6 week winter break. I think most students and faculty enjoyed it. It allows students to go home and pickup holiday employment. However, the State of Ohio is forcing all it's public colleges/universities on to Semesters in Fall 2012. So next year, students will returning after Thanksgiving (or staying around campus) and going to classup until closer to Christmas.

Anyway, combine the students being kicked out of dorms tonight, Ohio's already clinched the East, and the heavy rain and it may be a very light crowd at the game tonight.

I cancelled my reservations and decided not to go this morning when I checked the forecast. Thurnderstorms predicted for 7:00 and 8:00 hours, so a delay is possible. Should rain all day. If we (Miami) were actually playing for something, I would have still gone, but we have little to play for tonight. I will watch the women play IU in basketball tonight instead.
Nothing to play for!?!?!? After we pounded Ohio last season for you, you can't return the favor so we can have a shot at a co-title?!? Thanks for nothin'!

(You should go to Kent for the CSU-KSU game tonight. It will not be raining in the MACC!)
I cannot get excited about the game, either...season ended last week in our 24-21 loss to Temple.

SIX YEARS IN A ROW...AND COUNTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ohio over Miami 21-14.

Ohio improves to 9-3 and awaits the WEST winner for the MACC.
A win on national TV for Ohio over Miami and outright east division title. Not a bad year for the Bobcats. A MAC Championship game and bowl game on national TV for Ohio. Gotta think those recruits will like what they see from Ohio.
