Its on ESPN U right now. It is my first time seeing UCONN women play without Maya Moore at the XL Center. It looks like a packed house with close to 15k+ in attendance.
I think UCONN has the next Maya Moore. She is Keleena Mosque Lewis and she wears the same number as Maya Moore as #23. She even looks a little like Maya Moore. The girl got game.

We badly need a new BB stadium. Both stadiums (on campus and Hartford) are too small and outdated.

What, I saw Uconn stadium on TV and I thought it looked amazing. Man UCF can only put 10k in theirs. I can't wait until UConn comes to Orlando so I can see some amazing basketball.04-bow

Yep. The on campus is way too small. Hartford is 16K+ but it is ok too. I am not sure there is enough room to upgrade Gample, but UCONN needs a place that can seat at minimal 15K per night.

There is a big plan to upgrade the XL center with this $105M project. They want to get a NHL team in Hartford. Now he needs to get the state to fork over some money which won't be easy.

Meanwhile, our freshman KML scored 25 tonight wearing Maya Moore's #23. She gonna be a good one. UCONN is not going away anytime soon on the big stage.

UCONN takes down #5 Stanford 68-58.

UCONN has an amazing female basketball fan base. The place you saw tonight seats around 17K and it looked like a full house. It was good crowd for sure. I wish UCONN could get a bigger place because demand for tickets is there. In the past, UCONN has been gauging fans with ridiculous donations etc. just to get a season ticket. I wish we find a way to build a bigger place and lower the entry price a little so give more fans a chance to watch Huskies play.

Personally I would leave the campus center as is and try to build a new one downtown Hartford along the lines of Lousiville. You only have so much money for these projects. Besides I saw the crowd for Coppin State the other day and it looked really weak...a game like that would be perfect on campus. Some of these December games are real dogs...I think Cuse only had about 12k actual in for Colgate the other day.

There is a strong push for a new XL center. The new downtown XL center would be very nice. The issue right now is the developer is trying to get the state to pay a whole bunch of the $105M cost. CT, like every other state, is in financial crisis so it is a tough sell. Either way, the guy wants a NHL team in Hartford by 2017.

You are right, some of the blow out games should stay on campus.

Look south...most of them from what little I know have a difficult time developing a rabid fan base.

CT people miss their Whalers. A CT based NHL team would be a nice get for the region. It will help UCONN land a very nice home away from home basketball arena too.
