Leave it to a KU fan to change the topic to early-season basketball when football is hitting the home stretch, but obviously the focus has shifted for our fanbase.

I arrived on these boards due to the realignment board, which is of course football-driven. Are there any others out there who're interested in discussing hoops, or is this a football-centric crowd?

Can't wait to get to the Big 12 for basketball as well. Here is a picture from our new practice facility.

I'm looking forward to WVU playing Kansas, KState, and Texas in hoops every year. Since our true rivals are all in the ACC now, WVU will ramp up Big XII hoops pretty quickly. And everyone in the Big XII already knows Huggs, from his year @ KState...
TCU basketball off to a 3-0 start this season including a win over Virginia last night in the Paradise Jam tournament.
There's a lot of basketball talent in TX along with all the football talent, so TCU definitely has a chance to get some home-grown talent. I was hoping that the late Neil Dougherty was going to succeed down there, but unfortunately he never got it going.
Dougherty was a great individual but not a very good head coach. A lot of people thought he was going to do great things at TCU, but it just kept going further and further down hill. At this point, Jim Christian has been struggling as well.
I just hope JC can start to get it together now that we're going to be in the Big 12. We saw an uptick in recruiting when we accepted the invite to the Big East, and while the Big 12 isn't quite the same caliber as a basketball conference, it's definitely top 3 in the country.

It'll be interesting to see if JC can get some better recruits from the DFW area. After all, in basketball it only takes two or three solid recruits to turn a team around.
