I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see this year's team being very successful. Improved from last year, yes. .500? I don't think so. But let the speculation end and the season begin. I really like the fact that, unlike last year, we start the season by playing four beatable (in other words, bad) teams

I've pencilled in 15 "could win" games. With all new players, about a third of those could reasonably be expected to end up on the losing side of the ledger. So, ten wins I expect. By the time the MACs come around we'll have gelled and should tear through the tournament. As with most internet postings, careful research and a great deal of thought have gone into this prediction.
I expect Juice and Majerle to be All MAC while at Toledo. Pearson might even be all MAC this year. We have a solid group of guys but it would be nice if we could land a big time player. When is the last time we had the conference player of the year or anyone who went on to the NBA? It sure seems like forever. The days of Mix, Brisker, Kozelko, Epperson, Swaney & Knuckles are ancient history.

I agree about J. Brown and D. Majerle being ALL MAC eventually... And Ryan Pearson might just be that borderline NBA player that you alluded to, that we have not seen at UT in awhile... Except for maybe Greg Stempin or Justin Hall (If he would have kept it together)...
From my somewhat limited research - I focus my articles on UT football opponents - Texas State is not a BAD team. To the contrary, read my review of this team in my post: Rockets to Texas for Four BB games.
