This is yuge for Bawb Dayvee. New Mexico is gonna add the QB Duck to its footbaw program. I wonder if they'll also hire Shan Kailey from the Buffalo Bills?

I find this kind of intriguing. I have often mentioned that there is a very long list of coaches who were re-hired after being fired for a bad stint, and very, very few have been able to regain success. And this includes some very prominent, formerly successful coaches.
For a long time the only one who made it was Earle Bruce. Now that list includes Zook and kinda sorta Solich.
Davie is interesting b/c
1. I like him as a commentator
2. He's been out of coaching for many years, longer than most of the other re-tread coaches. Will that get the stink of losing off of him?
3. A lot of his problems at ND were internal conflicts.
4. Demographics may favor UNM compared to previous years

New Mexico is used to losing. So Bob Davie will be right at home there...
