Just hope we have some gas left in the tank after that weekend series, and if we turn the puck over and Notre Lame forechecks the hell out of us, and we cant figure it out, we are in for a LONG night. So the new Compton Center info lists that it has two sheets of ice, one of which is Olympic sized. Presumably that is the one they are playing on. Can anyone inform how much bigger an olympic sized sheet is compared to Lawson?
not much bigger. We play on both olympic and standard ice in my league and I hardly notice a difference. A little more room on the edges but it's not massive.
yep, i looked it up. same length, olympic is 100 ft wide, nhl is 85 ft.

And the first period ends scoreless. Sounds like Notre Dame almost scored at the end of the period but Slubowski caught it. Radio announcing states Slubowski may have been inside the net when he caught it. No time left on clock, teams go to locker room for end of period, while officiating looks to the review. Official response: ? So I would assume end of period stood, leaving it 0-0.
