Who is our back up running back next season?
This is one of those rare occasiosns I don;t know who we have coming back.
Will we have a stable of baby backs once again?
Who cares if #12 is still there. We will do what WMU does this year, throw, throw, throw.... screens.

Our offense was good early in the season when we mostly threw the ball. Our offense is great now because we have a balanced attack. I prefer the balanced approach.

Also let's remember that #12 was non existent for the most part against WMU.... And we scored 63 points.
#12 is a key reason our running game is so good. Opponents must keep tabs on him at all times. If he gets the ball in space with no one near him, he is gone.

No question #12 is key to our offense, I just think it's wrong to assume what Adonis and the other 2 backs have done this year has not been special.
So nobody is concerned who will run the ball for us next season?

I am for sure. Although I am more concerned over the loss of Morgan Williams. On third and short he's the running back I want to see.
Flu probably #1. There is Reeves, but we haven't seen enough of him to know whether he can be a factor. Pasquale is a Jr. Hopefully Walton enters school in January. But, he'll be a freshman.

I think we may find that we were spoiled for a couple seasons having Thomas and Williams as a one-two punch. We may not see that again for a while.

Maybe the coaches will have to go the JUCO route if there isn't a strong backup for Flu.

Flu will obviously carry the load, but we need to find a back that can be dangerous on screen plays. Maybe Reeves can fill that void. Hard to say, since we haven't seen anybody else on the roster play.

One other point, I think we are going to look back at this year in the future and say how and the h-- did we not win the MAC in 2011 with 3 stud backs, Two solid QB's, Page and the Veteran OLine we had. We were loaded this year on O and what has happened to our Special teams and Defense is an abomination! Poor Coaching on 2/3 of staff is to blame for this years underachieving team.

Probably either Pasquale or Darius Reeves are likely to be #2. Jones-Moore is a 3 star commit that could play as a freshman too, and we might get another good running back in this class. I think Remy, the other commit, will redshirt.
I wonder if Cassius McDowell is being considered in this role. He was a very productive back in high school. He is a significant talent sitting on the bench. I am surprised we haven't seen more of him.

Go Rockets!!

I have a friend in Pittsburgh whose son goes to school with Jones-Moore. He made a point of calling me a few weeks back to tell me what a stud this kid is. Serious speed. Of course, that means zip but it's nice to get unsolicited comments like that.
