Happy birthday to the Marines... the squabbies have had deck guards now for 236 years.

Happy birthday to you, too, Beed

Happy birthday USMC. When you need help, call the US Army Airborne, Rangers, Green Berets or Delta Force and we will help ya out.

Never been able to figure out why the jarheads pay tribute in their anthem to a battle in which they were bailed out by the Army. Then again.. they ARE Marines. lol

you have no idea how badly my bad side wants to respond to this but tomorrow is veterans day....all veterans.

kudos to all branches. even the navy.

p.s. not saying i feel this way but there is a 'general consensus' worldwide about the different branches of the u.s. and sometimes they speak highly of the marine corps.

thanks amigo.

i had to do a presentation here at work for all of our veterans today. i got picked because i was the only manager that was a veteran. it was just a certificate of appreciation and a cheesy little pin but i could tell the guys enjoyed he recognition.
Yeah, I was just joking too. I have trained with Marine infantry when I was on active duty...same gear, same tactics, same results...I never have figured out why they think they are different though. I had a Marine Corp private once tell me that "Marines are all infantry" because they go through a few weeks of infantry training. I had to break it to him that a few weeks training didn't make him an infantryman. Anyway, congrats to the Marines. Gotta love those guys no matter. Good troops from what I've seen.

I like how you reference units within the USA that are considered special operations units rather than the Army as a whole. kind of comparing apples and oranges. more appropriate would be saying call the Rangers, Airborne, etc. if Marine Recon needed help. doesn't that just not sound right. Just my 2 cents though 04-cheers
Green Berets are all over the planet. Not certain about DF. But to answer your question, not really since the Army has several divisions of airborne qualified troops between rangers, airborne, etc...many more troops than recon.
Happy Birthday to the USMC. I always remember the shirt I bought at the PX at the San Diego Recruiting Depot when my brother graduated basic training...If you absolutely, positively need it done over night...United States Marine Corp. Thanks to every Marine.
