HELL yeah. Just get an SEC-minded DC and I pray to GOD this isn't one of Boone's final decisions. He should have been fired before Nutt. Oh, I'm sorry, "resigned". 04-rock
As someone who talks about how great $EC defenses are, it seems like you would be against this. Even a crappy Mike Shula coached UAT team shut down that offense in the Cotton Bowl a few years back.

Do did a Houston Nutt Ole Miss team. It was Texas Tech. With A&M, OU, Texas, etc., he did a damn good job with what he had.
I think that would be a good fit for him. He needs to get out of the broadcast booth and into a real coaching job!!!
Leach would be a good choice for Ole Miss. He'd do well...
Al Golden to Penn State, Mike Leach to Miami. He has said he wants to stay close to Key West.

Send him to FAU. Less pressure means more time to pretend you're a pirate.

There are a lot of coaches that deserve a shot at coaching in the SEC. Boise State's coach wanted the Kentucky job in 2006 but Mitch Barnhart wouldn't give him a shot.
Leach should take it. Ole Miss has been on the way up for some years now in the competitive SEC.
