I like David Crane a lot, but Provus was way too good to stay here long.

Good for him.

I'm curious to know what Davis Crane thinks about all of this crap? He is a Bama grad after all.

I asked him at the coaches show if he was going to Tuscaloosa with us and he just laughed.

I guess the Cubs gig wasn't his "dream job" after all.

I never cared for Provus. He was too polished and professional, if that makes any sense. There was no homerism.

Either that or he's not their "dream" announcer.

I wasn't a fan of him as the Voice of the Blazers. MB put it best already. David Crane has the passion for UAB that makes me enjoy the games that much more. But glad to hear Corey is moving on up.

Didn't they both get assigned to us from IMG or whatever it is called?

It may be due to the fact that we have had Crane for a few years, but Crane seems more down to earth.
