Great win tonight and great crowd as well on a Wednesday night!
Bravo the crowd
OU fans....did you hear what the attendance was tonight? Looked very good on TV.....very impressive for November on a Wednesday evening. Was nice that the weather was nice, just like last night in Toledo. I think the Miami game tomorrow vs Akron is going to be rainy, though.

wait til next week with Temple...5,000+ after this loss...
17K plus...very nice. We'll be lucky to get 10K tomorrow night vs Akron even if the weather is decent. Been a good show for the MAC on ESPN the last couple nights on the ol' tube!
Enjoyable game.

Any news on Pierce - Temple's #30? Was he just dizzy or something more serious?

and bowl eligible and probably headed to Detroit for the MACC.

Indeed it was an excellent show on television.

I was especially impressed by the students on the opposite side.

Any guess how many students attended last night?

BTW, does Temple have a new starting QB? 03-idea

I think that the east sideline seats just short of 8000, so there had to be more than 7000 in that section. The administration did an amazing job of promoting the game.

Yeah, won't see a better show from students from say Big East schools.

Oops, I almost started an Ohio --> Big East thread. 05-mafia
I would have guessed 20K plus from the images on TV. Great crowd and the black out looked good. Solich has OU rollin. The black helmets looked good as well. Kudos to the Bobcats.

How many senior starters do you guys have? Quite a few if I remember correctly. Especially on the O line?

There was about 13k or so actually in the house. The endzone sections were pretty empty and the tower side was a pretty lame showing. If you were thinking 20k, then ESPN must have done a good job with the camera angles. Big time showing by the students... until halftime.
Great game Bobcats...
And hats off to the OU students... Toledo students should take notice because last night showed how important it is for the kids to come out and represent...
WELL DONE !!!04-rock

OK, now I get it. I tuned in just before halftime, so I didn't quite understand what 'filled stands' and 'impressive attendence showings' people were looking at. Considering the closeness of it and what was on the line, I'm surprised they lit out so much at halftime.

They missed a really good game.

But the refs should have actually addressed the flag they threw on the OhioU player who dove into the endzone. It's quite obvious that the ref wasn't throwing that flag for the sideline interferance (although the camera crew did show that too), as that was on the other side of the field. I'm not sure I want it called or not (part of me says 'let the kids celebrate a little'), but they should have addressed it - even to say, "we decided it didn't merit a flag - so we're picking it up". I did hear them say "the flag wasn't for taunting" but we know that's why it was thrown.

Bump. Gotta say, Pierce looked concussed after that hit. No wonder: he got blindsided hard.

Stayed in Athens an extra night. Was taken to the hospital in an ambulance after the game. He was hurt to begin with and that was just insult to injury. No way they should have been running the ball there anyway.

I am curious about the call on the pass that should have been an incompletion...what was the review ref looking at?

Well...the video shown on ESPN was inconclusive...Brazil had his body shielding the ball too much to see if it was trapped or still loose prior to going out of bounds. When it went to review, I was glad the call on the field was a catch, because I'm sure that the video review would have stayed with whatever was called on the field.

Bobcat,

I don't know if he caught the ball or not at the end. What I saw though was he bobbled the ball on the first attempt and then started to gather it in while falling to the ground. The problem was that is elbow was out of bounds when he initially hit the ground. They means he is out of bounds correct?

It doesn't really matter in the long run...Our D got shredded last night...Good game again bobcats...you freakin own us...
thanks for the kind words, guys! this game meant a lot to the team and the fans (especially the students), and they played like it. GREAT GAME!!!! the atmosphere was electric even in the second half when a lot of the students left. i'm blaming that on the cold weather last night. i imagine quite a few of those who left wish now that they had stayed!

being at the game, i obviously couldn't watch it on TV, but i did see the lead story on Sports Center last night when i got home! :-)
