1. BCS Bowl vs at-large team
2. Meinke Car Bowl vs ACC opponent
3. Insight Bowl vs PAC 10 opponent
4. Liberty Bowl vs C-USA opponent

I think this would be a good lineup. Of course, the BCS Bowl is a lock. The Meinke Bowl looks like it will stay with the Big East. I have heard that The Insight Bowl is happy and will keep the Big East. The Liberty Bowl is also a nice bowl. I know a lot of people are sick of talking about the bowl future, but hey, it's the offseason so why not LOL.
imo, replace insight or liberty with champs. most likely we could get that lineup without notre dame, it'll be interesting to see what our "jogging partner" intends to do.
It very well could look like this:

1. BCS Bowl-Orange, Rose, Sugar or Fiesta Bowls
2. Champ Sports Bowl
3. Insight.com and Music City Bowl on rotating basis
4. Tire Bowl in Charlotte.

Situation is still not settle with Gator Bowl. They want the Big 10 or SEC but that is not looking likely. Going after the Big 12 but you would have to think the Alamo and Cotton would put up a fight. They just might be stuck with us again.
Looks like champs is gone, Insight as well. Liberty looks committed to the ACC. BE # 2 could be in the Tire Bowl or Independence.
Both are decent bowls

Well Coog I guess you missed the news yesterday. It looks like the Big 10 and Big East will send teams to either the Music City or Insight on a rotating basis to give both bowls more variety.

Another option that has been discussed is bowls sharing conference affiliations. Games such as the Music City Bowl and Insight Bowl, for instance, could swap Big Ten and Big East teams every other year for the duration of their four-year contracts. The Insight Bowl, played in Phoenix, currently pits a Pac-10 team against Notre Dame or a team from the Big East.

No, I didn't see that. That would be a good deal. The Music City would be a good trip for all those yankees in the Big East. They could at least go to Nashville and lear some advanced culture.

I would love that deal.

1. I like Nashville and it is a very easy drive from Louisville, only 2.5 hours.

2. The Coliseum is very nice. Been to a couple of Titan games.
Maize, you need more regional bowls but my gut tells me you'll end up in the Independence as well. That will fill out your list. The advantage of onl;y having 8 teams is that you can fill out 5 spots quickly.

I wouldn't give up on the Gator Bowl, yet. It looks like only the Big 12 can take the BE's slot. We'll see.
That may well happen, the Big 12 is very agressive on this bowl relaignment. CUSA is going to come out of it in much better position by picking up some of the bowls in this area that will be dropped.
If the Big 12 has dropped the independence they will darn sure drop Ft Worth. You'll get the Music City, they'll take BE 2 or 3 as opposed to someone's 8th place team.
What place team does the Big 12 want to send to the Gator? The Big 12 isn't exactly known for travelling well after their top 3 or 4 teams.
That is the sticking point. The Gator will have to come up some more $$$ to get anything better than Big 12 #5.

The Gator Bowl might still be the Big East's.

Yep, I could see it now the number 3 ACC going against the number 5 Big 12-(ie Texas Tech). And they thought they had fan travel problems before.

The Cotton, Alamo and if they have their purpose payout increase Champ Sports will all have higher payouts then the Gator.

Makes you wonder if the ND alignment with the Big XII for bowls (rumored in a couple of articles I've seen) has some truth to it. The Big XII is being awfully aggressive trying to pick up bowls, especially considering they already have a de facto additional bowl already (likely to have 2 BCS spots many years).
Between the Big XII and Big 10 they both seem to have 2 BCS bowls most years...
If Capitol-one & Cotton bowl are concerned about 5th BCS game knocking them down in pecking order. Does't B-E#2-ND look a better deal, don't know what Gator Bowl is thinking.

If by learn you mean teach and by teach you mean our advanced culture coming to Nashville then sure. 03-wink I know a few people who've been to Nashville they said it was very nice a bit small by our Northern Urban standards but nice.
