I'm going to build a few threads of prospects whom we are targeting in FB BY STATE, for example MI, IL, and say Ohio using Scout.com and Rivals.com. (I'll do annotating later today and add to the list in this initial post and you can annotate your comments below).

I believe EMU has offered each:

T Stephon Hall (Loyola HS) Detroit, MI 6-3/265

RB Juwan Lewis (Muskegon HS) Muskegon, MI 5-10/200

OT Dan Gibbs (Ernest W. Seaholm HS) Birmingham, MI 6-7/305

DE Kyle Ready (Oscar A. Carlson HS) Gibraltar, MI 6-3/235

S Brandon Berry (Cass Technical HS) Detroit, MI 6-0/195/4.70

RB Drake Johnson (Pioneer HS) Ann Arbor, MI 6-1/205

DT Darryl Goldsmith (Cass Technical HS) Detroit, MI 6-0/302

WR Theron Wilson (Skyline HS) Ann Arbor, MI 6-2/195

EDIT: LB Marcus Forward, (Northern) Flint, MI. 6'2" 210.

EDIT2: Adding Sterling Johnson, LB/K from Birmingham Seaholm. (11/4).
Rivals has us offering Marcus Forward a 6'2, 210 LB out of Flint Northern.

Getting Johnson would be a coup. The kid's a champion hurdler, strong, fast, big enough and probably capable of getting a bit bigger without sacrificing his speed. He averages 3 TDs per game against pretty strong Class A comp. He's also looking at Army, so that speaks well for his character.

Yes. I'll add him to the list.

Amazing but Scout and Rivals have virtually identical lists for EMU.
I show Hall with offers from Ball State.
I show Lewis with offers from WMU, Toledo and Buffalo.
I show Gibbs with Ball State.
I show Forward with an offer from WMU.
I show Ready with offers from Ball St., Bowling Green, Buffalo, WMU and CMU
I show Berry with offers from Cincy, Buffalo and WMU.
I show Goldsmith with offers from Temple, Ball State, Buffalo, NIU, Vandy and WMU.
I show us being the only offer so far for Wilson.
Adding LB/K Sterling Johnson from Birmingham Seaholm.

BTW, his teammate, Dan Gibbs, is a 3 * OL.

'79, do you show a commit for Gibbs?????
I show him uncommitted.

He'll probably walk on too UofM.

Both his parents are UofM alums and the kid sounds like he has 'blue' DNA.

Another kid that fantasizes more about wearing a uniform than he does of playing in games. 03-cloud9
Drake Johnson to UofM.

Would have been a good recruit, but we have very good prospects sitting on the bench this season (Brumfield and Allen).

Does he come to EMU to redshirt? Probably not. 05-nono

I'm still not sure we even take a RB this Feb.

I'd still like Marrow for that fourth and inches play at the goal line with the game on the line 05-deadhorse05-deadhorse

BTW, do we have a true upback for a goal line offense? Someone who weighs 240....05-nono

Johnson committed to UM.
