Right now the key to long term stability is to keep Louisville and Cincinnati happy so we don't head to Big 12 when they call. To achieve the goal, we need use our basketball power to build alliance with WCC and MVC. Basically we add more western schools and put them in WCC and MVC, help current and future (actually ours) WCC and MVC members to get multiple bids to NCAA basketball tournament. WCC and MVC should be happy to more TV exposure as we schedule more games with them.

We like to see adding more western schools to keep Louisville and Cincinnati in the East Division. And to raid more Mountain West schools will weaken that conference even more.

My dream Big East:

East Division:

Louisville
Cincinnati
UConn
Rutgers
USF
UCF
Navy (football only)

West Division:

Houston
SMU
Boise State (football only)/WCC
Air Force (football only)/MVC
Colorado State (football only)/MVC
UNLV or Nevada (football only)/WCC
BYU or San Diego State (football only)/WCC

This also will minimize everyone's traveling cost as the bonus.

Okay. Yeah, we could add Northeast Idaho State, or we could do non-geographic divisions. I'm pretty sure the latter is preferable to the former.

Our enemies are the five evil football conferences and Mountain West. Alliance with MVC and WCC will have them root for us.

The Mountain West is about to lose their best program to us. After Boise leaves they'll have nothing that even smells like an AQ conference. They're as much of a threat to us as we are to the SEC.
