Just going to make the following question as short as possible. Big 12 fans, which Houston school would you rather invite to join your conference: Houston or Rice? If Houston, why? If Rice, why?
I'm very curious as to what you guys would say. Thank you.
If the choice was between those two schools and those two schools alone then I would go Houston. Houston has shown that they can be competitive in football and basketball in a top tier league (SWC), and I believe they could be very good at both again (at the same time like they once were).
Houston's incoming basketball class is insane.
Plus then I get to enjoy a great pregame meal

I'd also vote for Houston. I don't think that it's likely, although it's possible that further expansion could include them to shore up that market in the wake of aTm's departure.
I would rather not have any more Texas schools.
If I had to choose, it would probably be Rice. Their marching band alone would be worth it.
So so far, two for Houston, one for Rice.

UH is my 2nd favorite Texas Team...
Both, yea I know its a cop out. But with a North/South setup having a even number of Tx schools makes sense. It allows a all Texas south with a 12 team league and a 8 team south w/OK schools if you go to 16 teams. Plus for an old SWC guy, it gets all the old rivalries going minus SMU, and Baylor has them (SMU) scheduled for the next 6+yrs in out of conference play.
