Is this true?

Marcus- Where did you see this as a possibility? I have seen nothing suggesting this other than one or two UC posts engaging in wishful thinking that the kid could be interested in UC. In other words, nothing to substantiate this. Auburn fans are saying the kid is good but the father is a Richard Williams headcase.
WJOX (?) radio in Birmingham. He averaged close to 17 points and 5 rebounds per game as a freshman at Auburn. Former Top 50 recruit, no clue about the father...He's a shooting guard which we are definitely going to be needing with the status of Evans and Banks questionable...

What did they say on the radio? Did they just say that he is going to transfer, or did they actually implicate UC as a team he might be considering? He put his name in for the draft, and I believe he said he'll transfer if he can't guarantee himself a 1st round selection.

Did he mention Cincy?
He's definitely transferring, but I have yet to see any mention that ties him and UC.
Pops may be a head case, but I'd welcome him. Hell, I'd just about welcome anyone at about right now. But if he told Huggs the only way he's coming here, is if he gets to play the point, Huggs probably tell him to look elsewhere. Huggs tells you were to play.

First off, the main reason he is transferring is that Auburn used him as a shooting guard INSTEAD of point guard. They feel the only way for him to get to the NBA since he's only 6-1 is to play the point.

Also, did they actually mention UC? All I've seen is that he wants to go to Ole Miss because the assistant that recruited him is there now. Auburn only gave him his release to go to a non-SEC school and Douglas and his father are fighting that with Auburn and the NCAA.
Wherever he goes he will still have to sit a year right?

No mention of UC as far as I can find, did see this:

Bill Cameron of the SportsCall afternoon radio show in Auburn reported that Douglas had plans to transfer to Ole Miss, where former Auburn assistant coach Tracy Dildy is a member of the coaching staff. However, if Douglas does that he will have to pay his own way for a year before being allowed to play in 2006-2007. If he transfers to an non-SEC Division I school, he would have to redshirt for the 2005-2006 season. If he transfers to a Division II or NAIA program, he could play this coming season.

Plus said he might be interested in UofL[QUOTE]
UofL just got a verbal from Jerry Smith so I doubt he comes to UofL. UofL's backcourt will be crowded. His interest in UofL was probably because his brother is Harry Douglas who plays WR on the football team.
Surprised that Barefacts didn't say that the kid was going to O$U.

That site you gave doesn't seem to take me anywhere. It says the page doesn't exist.
works for me
I have absolutely no idea what happened, but it just worked perfectly for me also. I am glad we did not get this guy (I guess I really mean his father) and I've hoped so all along.

BearcatMill, you are patrtially correct. going to a "SU" lettered school. Goins old school-FSU, not OSU. OSU didn't recruit him, will have plenty of PGs, with Conley and the Butler on board.
he transfered to florida state
